What is Search Engine? And know about some Search Engines


Search Engine: The search engine is a program that collects information from various web sites in the world and when a user searches for a keyword the information related to this program provides website link from the database. The information may be a mix of web pages, pictures, and other types of files. Some search engines also quarry data available in databases or open directories. Different web sites are sustained by human editors and search engines also sustain real-time information by running an algorithm on a web crawler.

The name and description of some Search Engine  are given below:

1. Google: Google Inc. (Google Incorporated) is a multinational Internet and software company in the United States, and specifically for its Google search engine, online advertising services, and cloud computing. It is the host of many services and products developed and hosted by the Internet. Initially, it earns money by advertising through the "Edwards" program. Its head office is located in Mountain View, California. Google's original feature is "inserting the information of the world and making it available to everyone". Google's unofficial value is "Do not be evil" Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founder of two Ph.D. students at Stanford University.
Google First Incorporated as a private company on September 4, 1998, and its initial share (IPO) was released on August 19, 2004. At that time, Larry Page, Sergei Brin and Eric Schmidt agreed to work together for 20 (2024) years of work together in Google. In 2006, the company moved to Mount View.
Since it changed to Incorporation, it started to grow all the way, not just the search engine.The company provides online services such as Gmail - email service, Google Docs - Office suite and Google Plus - social networking services. Google products are used in addition to the Internet, such as Google Chrome - Web browser, Picasa - software for organizing and editing photos and Google Talk - Instant Messaging app.The Google mobile operating system runs Android and Google Chrome operating systems which are only managed on the browser operating system (available in special laptops Chromebooks).
 Google runs around one million servers in various data centers around the world and requests for one billion of searches and processing data made by around 24 petabit users per day. As of September 2009, Alexa lists Google's list of most used websites in the US. Other Google sites such as YouTube, Blogger and Orkut are also available on the top 100 sites. Brands give Google two places in their brand equity database. Google's dominance has led to many criticisms such as copyright, privacy, and censorship.


2. Bing: Bing is a web search engine. Bing is owned and managed by Microsoft. This service comes from Microsoft's earlier search engine: MSN Search, Windows Live Search and later Live Search. Bing offers various search services including the web, video, picture, information & map search products. It is managed using ASP.NET.

Bing, the replacement of Microsoft's Live Search, was released on June 28, 2009, for the release of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at the All Things Digital Conference in San Diego, California on June 1, 2009. At that time, significant new features were listed when questions were searched based on semantic technology from Powerset, which was acquired in Microsoft 2008, queries were entered and a list of related inquiries ("Xplore Pan").

Microsoft and Yahoo! in July 2009 Has announced an agreement which is Bing Yahoo! Find out who will be strong. All Yahoo! As of November 2015, Bing ranked 63.9% behind Google with the second largest search engine in the US with 20.9% query volume. Yahoo Search, which has 12.5% of Bing power, mainly.

3. Yahoo: Yahoo Search is a web search engine. It is owned by Yahoo. As of February 2015, yahoo search engine is the 3rd largest search engine in the United States.

Basically, "Yahoo Search" refers to a yahoo-provided interface that sends queries to a searchable index of pages associated with directories of websites. The results were presented to users in Yahoo!
